RASKOL is a classic top-down twin-stick shooter where the player has immediate control over the soldier Matvei, and by bringing up the map the player can also give commands to Oksana in her tank with the objective to make it through various obstacles utilizing and adapting the strengths and weaknesses of each character.

The Game

The game is set in an alternate history Russia - the October Revolution (1917) did not result in an united Soviet by 1922, but instead escalated into a decade long civil war, splitting Russia into multiple factions.

By 1934, the Bolsheviks are more desparate than ever, trying to expand in any and all directions - one of them being into the Rostov region where the two siblings Matvei and Oksana lives. In order to defend freedom of religion, political views vastly different from the communist and more importantly than all - their home - the siblings join the Cossack resistance. Matvei becomes a skilled foot soldier while Oksana becomes a fierce tank commander.

Controls

No controller support!

The game is PC only and for one player using the keyboard and mouse.

You can find all of the controls in the options menu of the game but here is a list for a quick reference/overview:

WASD: Move the soldier (Matvei)
Mouse: Aim with the soldier or navigate the map
Left-click: Fire the soldiers weapon or issue command to Oksana
Right-click: Use binoculars as soldier or issue fire command for Oksana
TAB or Q: Bring up the tactical map
R: Reload soldier gun
E: Interact
Spacebar: Cancel tank order

IMPORTANT!

The game is very short! Don't go in expecting a long game, though it might take you some time to finish since it is really hard.
